Movie giveaways were distributed to attendees of the Hollywood Men shows held just a few nights earlier on June 26 at Supperclub and June 27 at OHM.
Magic Mike XXL is the much anticipated sequel opening nationwide July 1.

The Hollywood Men inspired The Original Magic Mike
Before the original Magic Mike was released in 2012, Scott Layne, co-owner and MC of The Hollywood Men, was contacted by the film’s producer, Reid Carolin, who was interested in using The Hollywood Men show as research for a movie about male strippers.
“Naturally, I was willing to help if the movie would increase awareness of our type of entertainment and introduce women to an environment where they could let their hair down with friends for a bit of harmless fun,” says Scott.
A week later, people from the production team (set design, wardrobe, etc) starting attending our live male revue shows asking questions.
One Saturday night, Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, along with others in the cast, attended the show.
Matt Bomer even hung out with the guys backstage to help him better prepare for his upcoming role as Ken. He appears as a naval officer in an all white uniform in Magic Mike.

Inspiration for Bomer’s Naval Officer Role
Since the release of the film An Officer and a Gentleman in 1982, starring Richard Gere, the naval officer fantasy has become a staple act in nearly every male revue worldwide.
For the past 15 years, the naval officer has been an extremely popular strip act in The Hollywood Men show, performed by Sarge Logan.

However, now that Sarge has taken on the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey strip act, The Hollywood Men is once again on the lookout for ‘A Few Good Men.’
“We are strongly considering revamping the act with an expanded military theme for our very own Sean James, who is of course a retired Army veteran,” says Scott.
