After meeting with office manager Kristina, I realized that the best way to help this amazing company attract new clients was to undergo specific treatments that would make me look younger and feel more energetic.
I’m 54 years old, but I might look younger than my age. Given that I work in a business where appearance matters, why not take advantage of the procedures available to help minimize the effects of aging?
After a lengthy consultation, the specific treatments recommended for me to have done were Fractora, Xeomin injections, and IPL.
Fractora
Fractora is a fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that reduces wrinkles, slows the effects of aging, and restores skin to its youthful appearance, helping you look and feel younger.
Xeomin
Xeomin is a prescription treatment that temporarily reduces moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. Its active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, prevents muscle contractions.
IPL
IPL Photorejuvenation is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that improves photo-aged skin. It can be customized for different skin types, delivering excellent results and high satisfaction.
First Appointment : Fractora
My first appointment at BHRC was for the Fractora treatment.
My technician, Chelsea, was very informative about what to expect. I didn’t realize how much was involved until she started applying numbing gel to my face. After two coats and about half an hour, my face was numb. Since I didn’t have a ride home, I had to decline the Demerol offered. Trust me—arranging a ride is essential.
The Fractora treatment wasn’t overly painful, but the idea of tiny needles being pushed forcefully into my face, followed by three pulses of energy to stimulate collagen production, made me cringe a little. Fortunately, the downtime was minimal, and I was back on stage within a few days.
Fractora Results
The true results appeared about two weeks later, and of all the procedures I underwent, this one delivered the best results and received the most compliments from people who know me.
Months later, my skin still feels incredibly soft, like it’s coated in baby powder. My only regret is that I didn’t have my entire face treated; I only had the area from my forehead to my mid-cheek done.
Second Appointment : Xeomin
My second appointment at BHRC was for Xeomin injections.
My wife once had me try Botox, but I didn’t like the needles and didn’t receive enough for a good result. Now that I know what to expect, I felt braver about getting the recommended dosage.
Sydney, who administered the injections and also did my IPL treatments, was very informative and made me feel comfortable. I was in and out in ten minutes, and my forehead looked like I had mosquito bites for about half an hour.
Xeomin Results
Within a week, I found I could no longer frown, which felt a bit strange at first. However, I quickly got used to it, and now that I look at pictures from before the treatment, I’m very happy I chose to go through with it.
After three months, the effects began to fade, and I could once again create frown lines. I scheduled a second appointment, this time including the crow’s feet area for injection.
Third Appointment: IPL
My third appointment at BHRC was for my next round of Xeomin injections and to receive IPL treatment on my chest. Years of sun damage left my chest and shoulders looking perpetually sunburned, even in winter.
IPL, or intense pulsed light, uses a handheld tool that resembles a massager, and it took over a hundred pulses to treat my entire chest.
After a long career as an exotic dancer, I’ve spent countless hours in tanning beds, and this procedure aims to address the sun damage I’ve accumulated over the years.
IPL Results
I’ve now had four IPL treatments, and the results are amazing!
My chest no longer looks purple, and I’ve decided never to go shirtless in the sun again without sunblock.
