Magic Mike XXL movie giveaways

Los Angeles, CA – June 19, 2015: There’s another reason why ladies in Southern California need to see the Hollywood Men show on Friday, June 26 at Supperclub and Saturday, June 27 at OHM.

Magic Mike XXL movie giveaways will be given out during both shows (while supplies last) to celebrate the upcoming release of the Magic Mike movie sequel.

Promotional giveaways will include advance screening movie tickets, beach balls, door hangers, tank tops, t-shirts, cups, hats, fake dollar bills with cast faces, dog tags and character postcards.

Ladies who attend will see the lead dancers wearing Magic Mike XXL tank tops and hats during the opening number before stripping them off for the crowd. Each woman will be given a raffle ticket on entry for the movie tickets.

“On behalf of our client, Warner Brothers Pictures, we only chose The Hollywood Men to help us promote the upcoming release of Magic Mike XXL by providing giveaways at their shows on 6/26 and 6/27 because they have the best fully choreographed and upscale male revue show in Los Angeles,” says Camila Prada-rey, Publicity & Promotions Account Coordinator at Allied Integrated Marketing.

“We were thrilled they reached out to us to help cross-promote the release of the sequel as well as increase awareness of our live male revue show,” says Scott Layne, co-owner and MC of The Hollywood Men show.

The Hollywood Men show was used for research for Magic Mike released in 2012. This :15 second ad will air in select Southern California movie theaters showing Magic Mike XXL from July 1 to 9.

Before the original Magic Mike came out, Scott was contacted by the film’s producer, Reid Carolin, because he was interested in using The Hollywood Men show as research for a movie about male strip dancers.

“Naturally I was willing to help if the movie would help increase awareness of our specific type of entertainment and introduce ladies to an environment where they can let their hair down with their friends for a little harmless debauchery,” adds Layne.

A week later, people from the production team (set design, wardrobe, etc) starting attending our live male revue shows asking questions.

One Saturday night, Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Cody Horn, along with others in the cast, attended the show.

Matt Bomer even hung out with the guys backstage to help him better prepare for his upcoming role as Ken. He appears as a Naval Officer in an all white uniform in the movie.

The Officer and Gentleman was an extremely popular male strip act already being performed by Sarge Logan since he joined the show about 15 years ago so he was definitely ripe for a new act.

After the release of the original film in 1982 starring Richard Gere, the Naval Officer fantasy has always been a staple act in just about every male revue in the world.

Now that Sarge has assumed the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey strip act, The Hollywood Men is once again on the lookout for “A Few Good Men”.

Scott Layne adds, “We are strongly considering revamping the act with an expanded military theme for our very own Sean James, who is of course a retired Army veteran.”
